Community for Christ Assistance Center
CFCAC provides assistance in Adams County, Illinois with utilities, rent/mortgage, food pantry for clients within income guidelines, and thrift store which is open to the public. Donations of new or lightly used clothing and shoes, along with glassware, household items, books, toys, jewelry, etc. are welcomed at the back door of the center during the hours they are open. C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation
C.E.F.S. is a not for profit Community Action Agency serving the Illinois counties of Christian, Clay, Effingham, Fayette, Montgomery, Moultrie, and Shelby. C.E.F.S. develops, implements, and evaluates social service programs to assist economically and socially disadvantaged people in their quest for greater self-sufficiency. Pike County Unmet Needs
In the summer of 2003, a coalition of private, public, and charitable Pike County, IL organizations formed to assist individuals and families with unexpected needs. This coalition was named, Pike County Unmet Needs (PCUN). PCUN is unique in that it pools both the resources and the experience of community representatives from public agencies, institutions, churches, not-for-profit organizations, and private citizens in a team effort to explore reasonable solutions for individuals and families in need.
